Quakes host second annual Media Appreciation Night

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the San Jose Earthquakes hosted their second annual Media Appreciation Night celebration. The event was held to recognize and thank members of the local media for their work covering the team in 2019.

The highlight of the evening was a match between the Earthquakes’ marketing and communications staff vs. members of the local media. The media were anchored by representatives from KGO, Telemundo, KNBR, 95.7 The Game and NBC Sports, as well as soccer-specific media outlets such as ProSoccerUSA, Quakes Epicenter and Quakes Talk.

Following the match, members of the media and Quakes front office had a chance to network while enjoying a buffet dinner from Avaya Stadium concessionaire Spectra.

So far after two years, the Earthquakes hold a perfect 2-0-0 record against their media counterparts. To be fair, the Quakes did enjoy having club Hall of Famer Chris Dangerfield as their head coach.
