On Saturday, June 9, the Earthquakes hosted their first-ever Amateur Photographer Night, inviting non-professional photographers to shoot the team’s match vs. LAFC and share their favorite images on the Quakes’ website.
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do, etc.:
I’m from Eastside San Jose, and I’m an incoming senior at Overfelt High School.
What first got you into photography?
The first thing that got me into photography was my friend, he asked if I could take pictures for his performance and from there I slowly started getting into it.
Favorite things to photograph and why:
My favorite things to photograph are probably dancers because catching that moment during a performance and freezing that shot in time kind of makes it all that more beautiful, but I take all types of photos.
Why did you want to participate in this Quakes event?
I wanted to participate in this event because I don’t want to just stick to dancers, I want to experience more and I want to be able to get more out of my comfort zone.
Where can people view your photos:
People can view my photos on Instagram @_.jojo.photo._
