On Saturday, June 9, the Earthquakes hosted their first-ever Amateur Photographer Night, inviting non-professional photographers to shoot the team’s match vs. LAFC and share their favorite images on the Quakes’ website.
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do, etc.:
I’m 32 years old from San Jose, CA. My hometown has always been San Jose and love living in California. I love spending my time most with my family, who is my awesome wife Livia, my one-year-old son Anthony, our dog Brody, and another boy coming in July.
What first got you into photography?
Beautiful California landscapes. This was my first love to photography because I was able to utilize my creativity in all aspects and was able to turn over those skills into other avenues with all different types of photography.
What first got you into photography:
Why did you want to participate in this Quakes event:
I participated in the Quakes photographer night because I have always wanted to photograph a professional soccer game and felt this was a great opportunity to add on to my portfolio. I feel this opportunity will bring a unique insight and positive prospective to my portfolio. It also is helping me to reach my desired goals of capturing different sporting events, while aiding to improve my skills and techniques.
